Family First

I wanted to post from the wedding in Mexico, but time got away me.  There was so much going on from the time we arrived on Thursday until we left yesterday (Sunday)

Phil and Shetal’s wedding was beautiful. It was so festive from start to finish. For a destination wedding, everything was so we’ll planned and executed.  It was great to see our family for such a joyous occasion. Shetal comes from a large Indian family and Indian wedding traditions were honored on Friday evening during the rehearsal dinner. Phil gave a wonderful toast to the couple and to Shetal’s family.

The heat and humidity during the weekend were almost too much to bear. Even for us. I’m not sure what the difference was, but it was so incredibly hot, that there was barely a dry thread on anyone during any of the events. Crazy hot!

By the end of the evening on Saturday, Phil and I were ready to change gears and start thinking about getting to Irvine for his tournament. There were no tennis courts in Sayulita. That means Phil went a whole 4 days without hitting a ball. Then came to play a national tournament.  Unheard of for him, but family comes first. Always.

Below are a few snapshots of the weekend
