Still Going

I was on the court teaching while Phil was playing.  I'm finding that's the best way for me to wait out hearing how Phil is doing in his matches.  He had an 8:30 match and I was on the court from 8:30-12:00.  Around 11:00 I asked Betsy to bring me my phone so I could see if there was any word yet.  I had a text he had won his single 6-3,6-2. YAY!!

I finally spoke with him around 12:15...he was on the massage table getting his back and legs worked on before he played doubles at 1:30.  The massage must done it's job.  He and Tom won their doubles match 6-3,6-0. 

Phil felt like he played better today.  Also having an earlier singles match, he was feeling more fresh and ready to go.  The quarterfinals are tomorrow and I think the same for doubles.

He is still going and I couldn't be more proud!
