Great Strides

Phil and Brian lost their final match today 6-3, 6-4.  Of course Phil was disappointed in the loss.  No one likes to lose.  But I think the difference in these losses (at least from my perspective) is that he is taking away some positives of what he did well, and how all the tough preparing he did paid off.  I am incredibly proud of him. He has followed his plan of recovery to a tee...starting with the timing of surgery to the rehabbing to being back on the playing court.

Two more nationals (actually three) are looming.  Phil will be home a week then off to New York to play the National Father Son Grass courts with son Phil.  Son Phil, has been working extremely hard on his game as well.  They have done well in previous tournaments together and I think they will be a force to be reckoned with on the grass week after next.

Both Phils are making great strides as individual players and as doubles partners.  I am so proud of them both!
