Home

Nothing is better than getting home after being away.  We both were tired, but felt like the week in Austin was a total success. Particularly for Phil who was able to get in all the matches he needed to get better prepared for his next tournament.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Austin, with Phil, playing and watching. I'm not discouraged by the hip setback.  I am seeing the doctor next Wednesday to get it looked at.  It is feeling better, but I do want to know what's causing the pain. Phil and I met Jeff, my trainer, for lunch yesterday.  We agreed that it would be best to pick up training again after we see what the story is on my hip.  I'll be eager to back to work.

We didn't miss much of anything at work.  A few members playing here and there, but not a lot of action.  Phil will be leaving on June 12 for Irvine, California to play doubles in the National 65 Hardcourts.  He and Tony have a real shot at doing very well. I'll stay behind on this trip.  I'll miss being there, but I'll be cheering and sweating bullets from afar! Plus I have other exciting things to prepare for....

In early July we will be picking up our new Maltese baby...her name is Ellie.  We are both so excited. After discussing the pros and cons of maybe getting a new puppy, the pros won out.  Not sure how, but they did.  Next thing I know we're picking up Ellie, who was born on May 6th, in Tampa.
I've always had big dogs, so it will be a change to have a small one.  We are getting picture updates weekly and it's amazing to see how she is growing so quickly.  We are so in love already.

I'll post Phil's results as they happen and also post some pictures of Ellie!

Can hardly wait until she can come home!!
