First Match

The three hour time difference from here to California makes communicating with Phil a little more difficult.  My day is almost half over before he is even having breakfast.  Today we finally caught up with each other after I had my first PT session, around 12 noon.  Which, by the way, went very well.  Jorge has worked on Phil through his various surgeries, and they have become friends. Jorge is a tennis player, so he understands the necessary functions that we need to keep our bodies moving properly.  After an evaluation, we have a plan of strengthening my hip, plus doing some treatment to keep it pain free.  I had forgotten how nice it is to not hurt and  really hope we can keep it that way!  It looks like I will only work with Jorge for a couple of weeks, before returning to Jeff.  Either way I am up for the challenge.

Now back to Phil...Although he is not playing singles he is able to warm up some of the guys for their singles matches.  That gives him a chance to hit some balls early, then hangout and watch.  Most of his doubles matches this week will be in the early afternoon.

Phil and Tony won their first match today 6-2, 6-1.  Tomorrow they have a very tough match.  It will be good for them to be tested early.  I'll be waiting eagerly to hear their results....but I'll have to wait all day....
