NATIONAL CHAMPION...again!

Waiting for the final phone call from Phil this afternoon was torturous! Because of Tom's singles match going to 3 sets (which he won and is in the finals tomorrow) their doubles was delayed starting until 2:30.

To kill some time I ate lunch at Sweet Tomatoes (Not one of Phil's favorites, so I eat there when he's away), I also went to Macy's to buy some unmentionables, (another activity Phil is not fond of). I miss him terribly when he is gone, but I do get some things done!

Finally he called, breathlessly, from the side of the court to say they had won!! 6-4, 6-3.

I jumped from my chair, I was so excited for him! He has struggled this year with injuries, but he worked particularly hard these past 6 weeks and it paid off for him. I couldn't be more proud or excited for him!

He'll watch Tom play his singles final tomorrow, then together they will fly home on Wednesday morning.

Now my job is to work on getting my game in some semblance of shape to play toward the end of October. I know someone who has the credentials that can help me do just that!

On a side note...played my first pickle ball today. Yes, please! So. Much. Fun!
