Phil and Tom played their first match this afternoon and won easily, 6-2, 6-0. They played at an alternate site, Ansley Country Club, a nice club about 15 minutes from the main site. Today was a sunny but cool (cool in my standards)with highs barely 70, with a cool breeze. My blood has thinned living in Florida for as long as I have, and REALLY thinned since being on Coumadin!
We had a good breakfast at our favorite morning spot, the OK Cafe, then headed to the courts to watch some of the singles matches. It's fun for me to sit and watch all the matches. I find myself analyzing their strokes, and thinking to myself what I would suggest to them if I was giving them pointers. I guess it's hard to completely get away form work, when your "vacation" is indirectly tied to what you do for a living. I wouldn't change a thing!
We're going to the player party for dinner tonight. It's easier than finding a place to eat on a Friday night in Atlanta. It'd be like trying to go out to dinner in Naples during season....impossible!
