Rested and Ready

Yesterday was one of those days that you felt like would never end. Flying all day and going backwards in time was a tough combination. Nonetheless, we made it with no problems, and even managed to get in a short but productive hit on the indoor courts. After a good early dinner, we showered and finally landed in bed. Ten hours later we woke up refreshed and ready to go.

When I go to tournaments with Phil, I never want to be in the way, or have him feel like he has to entertain me. He insists that he gets his bests hits with me and wanted me to work him out today. We had an awesome 90 minute hit on the fast indoor courts. We both walked away loving the feeling of the true bounce of a hard court.

Phil went back to the club to hit with Geoff and some of the other guys while I relaxed and enjoyed a quiet afternoon. Our hotel is within walking distance to lots of shopping and restaurants. Although it's hot, high 90's, there is no humidity here. It's refreshing to not break into a sweat from just walking out the front door.

Phil plays singles tomorrow at 11:00.
