Boise Bound

There's plenty of places I've never been, and Boise, Idaho is one of them. I decided about a 10 days ago that by using airline miles, it'd be fairly cheap to get there, and since Phil was going there to play his National Indoors, why not? I can feel "the season" creeping up on us as the days and weeks seem to be flying by. I felt the need for a getaway, so here we go!

Because of my last minute decision to book a flight, I couldn't get on Phil's Friday (yesterday) flight, so I made my reservation for today. Phil's flight had mechanical issues yesterday and was cancelled, but he was able to rebook on my flight, so at least we're traveling together. Boise is a tough place to get to...Ft. Meyers to Atlanta to Salt Lake to Boise, so we have a long day ahead of us. We'll eventually get there. Leaving work was no issue, especially since we have "Super Dave" there to cover. Peace of mind is a beautiful thing!

I'm looking forward to watching Phil play this week. He has been working hard in the heat and humidity of south Florida. The draws are small, but deep with good players. He and Geoff Cykman are seeded #1 in doubles, and Phil is seeded #3 in singles. Phil's first singles match is on Monday.
