Phil arrived in Boise on Thursday afternoon. It is no easy feat getting there...from Naples, to Atlanta, to Minneapolis, then finally to Boise. He was pretty tired by the time he got there. After a good nights rest, he had a mid morning hit with the pro at the club that is hosting the tournament, and then another hit with doubles partner Neal Newman. Having not been indoors for a few years now on a regular basis, Phil sees the need for getting your eyes readjusted to playing indoors. The lighting and atmosphere are so different! The tournament starts on Sunday, but because he has a bye, his first singles match is on Monday, and doubles on Tuesday. The draws are not too big, but will be tough in both events. To do well this week, Phil will need to be mentally tough throughout the week. He has put in his time preparing for this tournament physically and nutritionally. He deserves to do well!
