Finally Playing

It seemed like it took Phil forever to get his first round played.  Actually, he won his first round match with a walkover yesterday....so today was the first day he really played.  He won fairly easy in singles and he and Neal won their doubles match easily too.  The singles are now in the quarters and the doubles are in the semis.  Both matches tomorrow will be against good, strong opponents.  I know how highly motivated Phil is to play and do well. More for himself than anything else.  He is playing on his favorite surface, hard indoor courts.  He is also playing at a venue that he has had success in and feels comfortable playing.  Phil just needs to put his head down and take care of business.

I've been finding ways to busy myself while he is gone. Besides working and teaching, I"ve been working out with the trainer, practicing a little, and doing some heavy duty window shopping.  I hardly ever pull the trigger and buy stuff, but I sure like to look, (when I'm in the mood)!  I've been to every furniture store in Naples. And I do mean every one.  After living here a whole year now, and finally combining our two households of furniture, it's time to add a few odds and ends to spruce things up.  A good way for me to pass the time!

Wishing Phil good luck and happy swing thoughts!
