Denver Bound

We're leaving for Denver in just a few short hours.  I fell asleep fine, I just can't stay asleep. So here I am, tying up loose ends of all the things I meant to do before we left. Maybe I'm a little anxious about our trip.  Phil and I are both looking forward to going.  Phil's brother and sister both live in Denver, so we're able to visit family while on this road trip.  The tournament doesn't start until Wednesday, so we'll be able to hang out with everyone, and get used to the altitude as well. I haven't played the indoor nationals before...for some reason it just never worked into my schedule.  The draws haven't been posted yet, but from looking at the competitor list, all be it small, it is very strong.  There will be no easy matches from the beginning....guns will be ablazing from the get go.  That goes for both singles and doubles.  Fran and I are playing together again...in fact, she and her husband Willie are staying with us at Phil's sister's house. They'll be arriving on Monday.

One thing Phil and I are looking forward to is going to a Colorado Rockies baseball game on Sunday.  Inter league play is going on right now, and they'll be playing the Angels.  Should be fun!

I've really been working hard on my fitness and playing since returning from San Diego a few short weeks ago.  My goal is to compete and play well.  I have all the right ingredients to make that happen.

Good luck -glad you have time to adjust as we were out there a few weeks ago and had problems with altitude.
Will follow you this week! Also, ask Phil if he remembers Louise Cash? She is a member at our club up here (upper ridgewood) and said she played doubles with him in the past and sends her regards. Best
To you both, Linda & Glen.
