Day Three

Everyone needs a good whipping on the tennis court from time to time, and today was my day to get whipped. I did some things well, unfortunately Fran did everything better. I won a few points, but Fran won all the games, and I do mean ALL the games. It's been along time since I lost 0 and 0 in a tournament match. My forehand was AWOL once again, can't explain that one, but my serve continues to be a pleasant surprise. I now feed into the back draw and will have the day off from singles tomorrow as I wait to play the winner of a match. There are some strong players in the consolations and hopefully I'll get a few more good matches in.

On a more positive note, Fran and I won our doubles match this afternoon, putting us in the semifinals. We caught a break not having to play the number one seeds since they pulled out due to injury. We started a little slow and found ourselves down a break early in the first set. We were able to get going and won the match 6-3, 6-3.

Fran is scheduled to play her singles tomorrow at 12:30 and our doubles is set for 3:00. Looking forward to another fun filled day of tennis!
