It's Official!

Phil and I finally tied the knot!

Before we had been offered our positions in Naples, we had hoped to get married in Destin in October. Once we made the decision to move to Naples, everything was happening so fast and furiously, that getting married sort of got pushed back to the end of the 'to do" list.

Instead of trying to find the right date that fits into our family and friend's schedules, we opted for the simplest option....a visit to the Collier County Courthouse!

Last Monday, December 12, started out like any other Monday, a couple of lessons, a couple of clinics. Plus we had a big demo day event scheduled on Tuesday that needed some final touches. Our appointment at the courthouse was for 4:00. At 1:00 we had to run over to Spanish Wells to check on a malfunctioning sprinkler head. Never during the day was I nervous or frazzled. Once we got everything in working order, we ran home, showered, put on our best blue jeans, and away we went to get married! We were in and out of there in about 10 minutes....that 10 minutes included the ceremony and waiting for the certified copy of the marriage license. It was great! Phil and I were married, and so happy! It was a warm, beautiful, sunny afternoon so off we went to sit outside at Bravo, one of our favorite places to eat to enjoy our first pizza as a married couple. For us it could not have been a more perfect day! We plan to have a weekend celebration with our family and friends later in the spring.

It seems like the time in Naples has been flying by. Our days have been filled with teaching, organizing, getting to know our members, and just enjoying our new life. Never have I felt so completely happy and comfortable in my own skin. I have truly been blessed with a wonderful life and I have the most compassionate, caring, loving and wonderful husband to share the journey with!
