When You're Bad You're Bad

I was apprehensive from the beginning about playing this week. Wondering if I was ready to be playing a national tournament. I knew I needed to start somewhere. My heart did just fine and my slight calf strain held up too. In fact, I wish I could find something to blame for the way I played today. Basically I stunk up the court. Fran and I won the first set 6-4, and were up a break, 4-2 and 40-love, in the second. Some how we(I) found a way to lose the set 7-5. We went down 0-3 in the third, came back, then lost the set and match 7-5 in the third. Nothing I hit felt solid. My returns were terrible, my serve was mediocre at best. Not to mention my double fault on match point. ARRGGGHHH. I am so frustrated. I know I haven't been in a tournament match play situation in a long time, but can I really be that bad?

We do play a back draw match tomorrow afternoon. I need to somehow put this day behind me and get a more positive mindset. Back to the drawing board.

We all suffer from off days and this happened to be yours. Don't worry about it! I know the strength, det6ermination and stubbornness that are YOU, and I know you will pull yourself up by your bootstraps and do well next go round. Hang in there my dear girl. You will return!!. Love you, Tillie
