Safe Trip to Houston

The drive to Houston today was long, but uneventful. Phil and I switched off driving every 2-3 hours, which made time pass quicker and kept us from getting too stiff. We made it in time to check in to the hotel, drop our bags then head to the courts for a quick hit. Our legs were a bit weary, but it felt good to hit and get a little sweat going. We ate dinner with Fran and Mary. It's always fun to catch up with friends. Looks like the weather is going to be wet most of tomorrow. My first match is scheduled for Tuesday. Luckily, Phil has a good friend that owns an indoor club here. Jim has been kind and generous enough to allow us to hit there tomorrow morning. I play the winner of a match that is to play tomorrow. We'll see how the weather affects the scheduling. I had a nice, comfortable feeling when we walked up to the courts today. I'm looking forward to getting the week started. The tennis will be tough, but I'm up for the challenge.

No pressure, no agenda, just play and have fun each and every point. We are all blessed to be able to do what we love..enjoy the moment.
