A Golden Fun Day

It always takes me a day or two to adjust to the time difference. For some reason I have a hard time turning my internal clock back 2 hours. My sleep schedule gets all confused. Mary and I met at the courts this morning and had a good workout. It felt good to hit balls, and get a feel for the hard courts again. It's such a beautiful setting here. My rental car, all by chance, turned out to be a sporty little two seat convertible. After we worked out, Mary and I drove to Carmel and did the 17 mile drive around Pebble Beach. Wow, it was really beautiful! I'm so glad I went, and I know my Mom is smiling. We stopped back at the club and saw some more players. Tomorrow is another practice day, then time to get serious on Tuesday. The highlight of my day was Phil calling to tell me he WON his singles final this morning against his doubles partner Tom Smith! Then later in the day he called to say he and Tom won the doubles! Another double gold ball tournament for him. He worked really hard during his month long stay in Destin, and it paid big dividends. I am so proud of him! I'm hoping to compete just as hard and play just as well myself. Only 23 more days til Turkey!

good win, hope the doubles was equally as smooth - had some pretty good tennis here as well as Mike Fagan and I lost to two late 30's 4.5 Texas players 4-6,6-7,5-5 when their wives came to get 'em - fun tennis - the girls are great, but Chatum isn't ,much into walking these days until we start back home - I'll hug 'em for ya - there was a bluebird in the yard this morning - I should get a house and put it up - good luck tomorrow! Hi to everyone for me - especially Mrs Mary Kay! Did Mary Daily ever get her Saurus sunscreen and ELETE?
