Work and Rest

I made it to Columbus on Wednesday. Phil and I hit on Wednesday afternoon at his indoor club for about an hour just to get the cobwebs out. Hitting indoors on hard courts was a good warm up for the grass. We worked out on the grass yesterday at a beautiful club in New
Albany. The courts were in great shape and I felt sharp from the beginning. We did both singles and doubles drills. With Phil being so popular here in Columbus, and even though we weren't even at his club, it was like being with a celebrity. So many people walking by the court knew Phil and we'd stop and talk. I can tell he is well respected and admired in the community for not only his tennis skills but also his genuine personality. Today Neal Newman, Phil's doubles partner, came to the indoor club and we drilled and played for a while. Tomorrow is my last day and we'll be back on the grass again. Other than playing tennis and grabbing some meals, we've been very low key. I feel really rested and ready to play. Renee and I talked and decided this will have me not only ready to play, but more rested than if I had been home working. I really appreciate all she's done for me, not only hitting with me, but covering for me at work so I can make this trip. She and Jerry do a great job and I feel so lucky to have such a great staff. I leave Sunday morning for Philadelphia.

Sounds like you're ready. Sake's played Neal Neuman before - I think in the Father/Son hards when Brock was about 12. Good luck - the girls are fine and both say Arf! Dog for Hi!
P.S. Good food at Renee's last night and D'Aleo's the night before. I think I'm in heaven. If only I could play some tennis!
