In Minneapolis

Our travel day was uneventful. It’s nice to not have to get up at the crack of dawn, travel all day with multiple stops and be exhausted when you arrive.

We left at 2:30 from Ft Meyers on a nonstop and arrived 3 hrs later. We met up with Tom, got our car and the fun begins.

Tomorrow is a practice day for them, as they both play singles on Tuesday. I’ll hang around and be a hitting partner if anyone needs a hit or warmup.  I really like this indoor club where they are playing. It should be a fun week for us all.  I’m sure we will see a few Tarpon Cove members who live in this area, who will come to watch Phil play. He always seems to attract a local following wherever he plays.

The strength of this tournament runs deep. Most of the top players are here.  Phil has worked hard, putting in lots of practice time in for both singles and doubles.  We always say it takes hard word plus a lot of luck to be successful in these events. We’ll have to see if Lady Luck falls our way!
