More wins =more matches...

Phil won his singles match again this morning. I can tell by talking with him that he is finding his way back.  These may not be the top guys he is playing against, which in my opinion, makes it a little tougher.  No matter what happens the rest of the tournament Phil has met a goal.  This may not be the actual goal he set out for, but he has overcome a big hurdle for himself just by getting back on the singles court.

Tom and Phil played two very good guys from Atlanta in the semis of the doubles this afternoon.  They played this same team last year and won in a close 7-5 ,7-5 match. Today Phil and Tom won 6-2, 6-1. Phil said he and Tom played really well.

So tomorrow Phil will play his back draw finals at 9:00 which will be a good warm up for the afternoon doubles final. But first the team they are playing in the doubles finals will beat up on each other in the singles main draw final.   Fred and Geoff are good individual players but Phil and Tom are a much better doubles team.  Wish I could be there to watch.

Ellie and I made it through the week, but now we’re ready for Philly to come home.
