Just Because

I haven't written a "just because' post in a while.  It will give me a chance to catch up on life's just because moments.

It was tough enough to have the ankle (sort of ankle) surgery this summer.  It was a actually a scar revision onto an old Achilles tendon scar. The almost 3 months of non weight bearing was a tough one.  We've also been dealing with the long drawn out process of Phil's prostate issues.  Next Tuesday is a dreaded biopsy for him.  He can't wait to get it all "behind him".  A bad joke from Phil. Sorry. 😊.

Now I've had arthroscopic surgery on my left elbow of all things.  Yesterday Dr. Guerra, who we should put on a retainer, scoped my left elbow that I've been having trouble with for over 6 months.  I'm not sure how or why it's been hurting so much.  I had a cortisone shot in June, which almost sent me to the ER because of a horrible reaction of intense pain.  It eventually masked the tendinitis pain for a short while, but predictably the pain returned with vengeance. Because season is here and I can't afford to be off of work during season we agreed getting it scoped was the quickest way to take care of the problem. Hopefully my last medical issue for 2017.

The Landauers have kept the Naples medical scene in action.  We're expecting a healthy time from now on.  We know that above all,  having your health (mental and physical) is paramount. We are making it our #1 priority.

Life has returned to normal after coming home from Orlando and the Worlds.  As disappointed as Phil was after his loss in the semis, and only quitting tennis for a day or two, I have to say I'm really proud of him.  He has returned to the practice court working on his game and thinking ahead, not behind.  Sign of a true champion and hall of famer!

We'll now shift our focus to our work for the next 6 months.  We will be busy with lessons, activities and management of our very active tennis program at Tarpon Cove.  Everything has a season.  Now is the season for fun, fellowship and happy blessings.  Just because.
