The First Grass Day

Phil's fan base has followed him from Minneapolis to Rumson.  We have Tarpon Cove members who live in the Rumson area that came out to watch him play today. How awesome is that? 

Luckily Phil had a good day and won both singles and doubles.  His singles win was in three sets.  From experience those first round matches can be a little shaky. I think he got all the nerves out of singles and will be ready for a tough match tomorrow.  Phil and Tony had a routine doubles match and will also start to face tougher opponents from here on out.
