Phil made it to Minneapolis. He's always a little nervous when I'm not there to help with directions, etc. I have confidence in him, and sure enough he made it from the airport to his housing, then from his housing to the club. He's all set.
His first round of singles is tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11:15. Doubles for he and Brian is early afternoon on Wednesday. There is only 1 hour time difference between here and Minneapolis, much better than the 3 hour west coast time change. I'll keep myself busy, so I don't get too, too nervous. Since the play is indoors, there won't be any weather factors. We have a nice contingent of members who live in the area and plan to cheer Phil on. Thant makes me feel better!
There was some great Olympic tennis this past week. I didn't think I'd be that into it, but some of the matches were really good. The men's doubles final, and then men's singles final were awesome. Ellie watched with me, but she was less than impressed!
I'll continue to blog through the whole event, so stay tuned!
