We started early this morning. Surgery was scheduled for 7:30, so we had to be here at 5:30. Ever since then it's been a whirlwind. And since 10:45 Phil has been in recovery, mostly sleeping. And as I sit with him and watch the fury of nurses and techs go by it, it's like watching a live episode of some TV hospital drama show. Quite interesting.
Back to Phil. Dr. Guerra said that Phil's surgery went very well. His knee was arthritic, but the muscles surrounding the knee were strong and healthy. He'll be back on the court in 4-5 months.
Phil is snoozing quite comfortably right now. The spinal has not worn off yet. The attending nurse in recovery keeps checking for feeling in his lower extremities...nothing yet...I keep waiting. I know it's going to come! I just hope we can stay one (or two or ten steps) ahead of it!
I'll post more later!

Four or five months?? Mine's 28 days old and I've been on the court for two weeks. Well, not moving a lot, yet, but I can now rally from the baseline. He'll do great!
