After picking up Fran yesterday at the airport, we checked in to the hotel, then went to the club for a brief hit. Fran needed to knock the "air travel funk" off her and I needed to do the same from driving, albeit a relatively short distance.
Our roomie, Shelly Works, from Texas flew in later last night and arrived to the room after we had fallen asleep around 10:30. Shelly had dibs, (which we graciously gave her) on the floor. We were able to sleep in a little, at least for us until around 7:00.
Our practice was at the club at 11:00. The members at Ballenisles are less than player friendly and don't like us using their courts before 11. We had a great workout, then the rains came. Torrentially. All afternoon and into the evening. I think the forecast is a little wet this week. Seems Ike there are always weather issues at this tournament. Oh well...it is what it is!
We'll have the same schedule tomorrow, then both Fran and Shelly will start singles on Thursday. Looks like our first doubles won't be until Friday. Ok by me....just means more practice!
