Rested Up and Ready

I was so tired from the travel yesterday, that once we had an early dinner and settled in, I went to sleep...at 6:00!!! Of course that's 9:00 Florida time. I woke up about 12 hours later feeling some what refreshed. One more night and I'll be good to go. Of course it's not all about me..oh yea, Phil felt pretty good too!

This morning we had a quick breakfast then took off on our journey to find the Seattle Tennis Club. Our hotel is just off the campus of the University of Washington. There is a college vibe surrounding us which is fun. The club is about 15 minutes away and is beautiful. Probably one of the nicest tennis clubs either one of us has ever seen. The outdoor courts sit on the edge of Lake Washington. The views are spectacular!

Phil and his partner Bob met up to hit on the indoor courts and got a good hit in. Hitting on indoors for the first time can be tough. Phil thought he hit well and was on the ball quick with no problem. He did tweak his knee again while hitting and was a concern for him. He is icing like crazy hoping that he can get it to calm down. If anything he will not play singles, to save his knee, and just go for the doubles. He and Bob have a real shot at winning this tournament if he can stay healthy!

Tomorrow is another day of practice before doubles starts on Monday (very unusual for doubles to start first!)

We hope to get to Pike's Place Market tomorrow. I tried posting some pictures but they didn't come through....got to figure that one out. You have to see how beautiful this place is!
