Time to Play

I arrived in Baton Rouge on Wednesday morning. It's been great to hang out again with our good friends Ricky and Susie, homeowners from Hidden Dunes. They are special friends. I've been watching matches and catching up with tennis friends at the courts the past couple of days. I've also been able to get a couple of good hits in. Today I finally get to play. Because I haven't played much the past year, I don't have a playing record. There are eight players in my draw, and I am playing the number one seed first round. It may sound like a "bad" draw to some, but my sole purpose in coming here was to get good singles matches in and to get match tough for my next tournament. So for me, playing the best player in the tournament first round is a good thing. This will be a good barometer to see where I am mentally and physically.
