It's A Good Thing We Practice

Phil and I had another relaxing morning before heading over to the courts. We watched a few first round matches in the other age divisions...and I know many of you will find it hard to believe, but Phil knows a bunch of the tournament players and even some of the club members of Mission Hills. He chatted with them, and introduced me to all his buddies. I know a few of the players, and it's always fun to reunite with our tennis friends.
After the last tournament matches finished for the day we were able play a practice match with our friends Brent and Mai Abel. Drilling is one thing, and putting all the practice into play is another. For as good as we've been practicing, neither of us played well today against the Abels. But that's why we practice...to put into play all the things we work on. Unfortunately not much was working for either of us today. By the time we hit the court tomorrow for our first round match at 1:30, we'll be good to go.
The tournament directors, Steve and Abby Solomon, were nice enough to offer their guest house to us to stay in. We are very comfortable here and below is the view from the front of our housing...spectacular!

Well you should be playing your match now so we will keep fingers crossed. Some view from your house!

Had to say we watched Ohio St. win and hope you saw some of it. We of course also watched IU win!
