The Day Before

Two and a half weeks have flown by since I last posted. I had my last day of work at Hidden Dunes on the 10th, then Phil and I flew to Naples that night to begin our search for a place to live. We were successful with that venture, finding a very nice 4 bedroom, 3 bath home to rent for a year. It is close to work and a near shopping, movies, etc...we love the location and happy we were able to do it quickly. Coordinating the move has been a little tricky. There are tenants in our new home until September 1. We are moving tomorrow, August 22. Our movers are taking our stuff to a warehouse at one of our clubs, Spanish Wells, to store it until we have another moving company, from Naples, pick up our stuff at the warehouse and move it in our new home on September 6. We will stay in David's house (Phil's nephew) during the interim. Moving twice within a move is not my idea of fun, but it was the most logical way to get us out of here and down there to get going. I feel like time is wasting just hanging around here.

We have had several fun outings in the past couple of weeks, saying our goodbyes. Hidden Dunes had a nice farewell lunch with all the employees for me. I wish I could take Tip and James with me! Then some of Phil's guys that he worked with in clinics and lessons had a nice gathering at Ocean Club, then on Thursday our Hidden Dunes friends had a nice happy hour at Carrabas. It's very hard to leave the relationships behind. These are friends that will always be here for us, and I know we will be seeing them again, either here or in their travels to our new area.

Phil and I are both anxious to get back into a routine of working, playing and living. It seems like the past month has been so topsy turvy with packing and eating out (all the kitchen stuff packed) and we both feel a little out of sorts. I know that is to be expected, and its only temporary, but it sure makes you appreciate your life when you have a normal routine going.

Phil has continued with his physical therapy here and already has an appointment with a new therapist for next Friday in Naples. It is so important for him to continue on with therapy. He has made great strides the past couple of weeks with his range of motion and strength. I'm feeling great with no signs of flutters or afib.

I must say again, (and again, and again) thank you to all who have called and emailed your thoughts of appreciation, love and support. It means more to me than you'll ever know. I will continue to keep you posted on the goings on in Naples and in how Phil and I are doing in our new lives.

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date. The re-union is coming together well and everyone is sorry you both will not be here. We are thinking about you as you make this big move.
