It seems like it's been an very long and extended season for us at work this year. Usually we can count on things to slow down after Easter weekend. With Easter being unusually late on the calendar this year, our spring season extended until yesterday, when the last of our spring break business ended. Now we have only about a four week period before Memorial Day weekend and we'll rev up again for our summer season. Don't get me wrong, we love to be busy at work, but we also look forward to our down time to rest up, revitalize and get ready for the next season. Bring on summer!
I am very much looking forward to going with Phil this weekend to Atlanta where he will be playing in the Atlanta Senior Invitational. His calf injury has improved, but not enough for him to feel confident playing both singles and doubles, so wisely he is only playing doubles. He and Larry Turville will be playing together again. The draw is small with only four teams....sounds easy, but not really. The other strong team is Brian Cheney and Armistead Neely. That will be a battle royale and I'm really looking forward to watching four world class doubles players go at it. There are quite a few of the guys who work out in Phil's clinic that are playing in the tournament, so it will be a great weekend of watching and cheering for all our local players! I hope to posting from my a new ipad (happy birthday*early* to me!). If I can't get one in Atlanta, my result posting will be scarce as I currently don't have a "travel" computer. You can always check the link to the draws on the right of this post if needed for scores and results.

Kinda wish we were going to be there to watch the "big boys" play. However, we'll be there in spirit!! Good luck to Phil and hope you both enjoy your time away.
