Time to Get Ready

It was a week ago yesterday (Monday) that Phil came home from Palm Springs. He's been nursing his calf, and trying not to do too much on it, knowing we leave a week from tomorrow for Atlanta for the category II, Atlanta Sr. Invitational. He had fully intended to play singles and doubles, but after much thought, he's decided to only play doubles in Atlanta. (A wise decision) He feels certain he can get by in doubles, playing with Larry Turville, but is afraid that singles would re aggravate his tender calf. The positive for me is that I'll only be a nervous wreck watching his match once a day rather than twice a day! I'm looking forward to getting away for a few days.

The scheduling nurse called from Dr. Kay's office and I am scheduled for my ablation on June 16th. I was REALLY hoping for a May date, but I am happy to take what I can get. I have started my blood thinning meds in case there is a cancellation and I can get in sooner. I never like to wish away time, but the date can't get here quick enough for me.

To the right of the this post is the debut of Phil as a tennis commentator. He and Brent Abel did the commentating for the National 60's hard court final of Larry Turville and Paul Wulf. I think he did an outstanding job!

If I don't post again before, I'll post from Atlanta. My mini laptop bit the dust, so I'm in the process of getting a new travel computer. I may treat myself to an Ipad for my upcoming milestone birthday.
