Home Tonight

Phil and David are on their way home after a long day of tennis. Phil lost his singles final to Larry 6-4, 6-3. I kept up with the match with constant texts from Donna, Evert's wife, who was there watching. The scores were back and forth with service holds and breaks. Phil said he threw a couple of double faults into the two service games that he was broken (one service game each set)and added a few errant forehands into the mix. He's still focused on his main goal, which is doing well at the hard courts in Palm Springs in April. I'd say he's right on schedule. Larry and Phil won their semi final doubles match love and love, then went back on court a few minutes later to win their final match 6-2, 6-2. It's been a long week of tennis for Phil, but I know he's enjoyed his time hanging with the guys and playing. I'm looking forward to him being home tonight. As we always say..."it's what we do".

I hope to be getting back soon to "what we do".

I finally got to catch up on the blog. I'm so proud of Phil and all the Destin boys! It was a good showing by everyone. Lil Bit can't wait to see you. She missed her Mommie Myke!
