Leaving Sunday

Phil leaves Sunday for Palm Springs to play doubles in the National Hard courts. He's been working hard to get ready. I wish I were healthier, so I could be on the court working out with him. I have been able to stay in a corner and hit some cross courts, feed him some overheads and set up targets for his serve practice.

I have been babying my foot since being out of the boot. I've hit for only 15 or so minutes at a time. I only experienced pain one time and it scared the crap out of me. I was so afraid that I would be back to square one again. I've been able to do the fitness workouts with Geoff and hope that will make my transition back on the court a little easier. I feel like I've forgotten how to play. I've had longer layoffs and bounced back.

The most exciting news is our ping pong table! So much fun! We've had some incredible battles. Because we are both so incredibly competitive, the trash talking is worth the price of admission! We had the neighbors stopping by out of curiosity, because they heard the yells of "you're so lucky", "you don't have that shot" bellowing from the garage. I've only won one match, but I haven't unleashed my true ping pong talents yet!
