Phil and I took a quick walk down to the boardwalk at Hidden Dunes to check out the beach. The weather has been beautiful and I just felt a need to smell the salt air. So far we've been very fortunate with the catastrophic oil spill in the Gulf. We had odors from the burning of the oil on the top of the water a couple of days ago, other than that we've had no signs of the spill. I'm not sure for how much longer we'll be lucky and not see the spill, but we can only hope and pray for an answer. It's hard to imagine our beautiful water and beaches marred by such a travesty.

Just read all your news today. Our thoughts and prayers are with you--we will be thinking of you on Thursday as will all Hidden Dune snowbirds--you are special to all of us. Glad to hear the beach is ok so far. What a sad situation!
