This blog will allow me to journal my experiences both on and off the court in upcoming tournaments and travels.

Atlanta Bound
Phil and I are driving to Atlanta today. He is playing in the Atlanta Senior Invitational, a prestigious Super Cat II tournament. He's never played in this event before, because in years past he had been indoors on hard courts all winter. Having spent this winter in Destin on clay, he's more than ready. I'd even venture to say we're turning Phil into a "clay court specialist"!! (only kidding) Seriously though, he is becoming more accustom to playing longer points and learning to react to the unpredictable bounces sometimes found on clay. However with the recent windy days we've had, we've all been wondering where the indoor courts are around here...oh yea, they're non existent! I'm looking forward to watching Phil play, and cheering him on. The competition will be incredibly strong...world class. I've got plenty of crosswords to work while he plays, the only thing I've found that keeps my nerves down. I still don't know how my Mom watched me all those years. I guess it's a learned art that I'm still working on.
