Two Down

Two matches down for Phil and a big one tomorrow. Phil won easily today against a player he has played before. The weather conditions were much calmer with winds hardly noticeable. We were able to get a quick warm up in at Bocage, and luckily Phil's match was one of the few that went on as scheduled. Matches were quickly backing up as the day went on. There was a nice crowd of supporters to watch Phil...Billy and Susan Feazel, Conrad, Clay and Wanda Bertholot, and of course Ricky and Susie were on hand. We had lunch at the club after the match. We also scouted Phil's next opponent, Roscoe Tanner. Roscoe obviously has a stellar background with his successes in the 70's, but that was then and this is now. I feel like Phil will have no problem handling his serve, and I also think that Phil is fitter and will be able move Roscoe around the court. I have a good feeling about his match tomorrow. He plays at 9:30 and I finally get to play at 1:00. I've practiced and practiced all I can. It's time to play!

Tonight Ricky and Susie are taking us to a LSU baseball game. Very excited about that! It'll be a nice diversion from our card playing entertainment the last three nights. Phil and Ricky had taken such a drubbing the past two nights, we had to let them win last night just so they'd quit their whining!
