It's hard to believe that 24 hours ago I was on court, at the Houston Racquet Club, playing Shelly Works. In that 24 hour period, I've played a tough match against a great opponent, driven 10 hours from Houston to Destin, slept 6 hours and back to work. It was a whirlwind, but I have to say I was very pleased with the way I finished my last couple of matches in the back draw. As Phil said, I have improved over the past couple of years by adding new dimensions to my game. It's exciting to know that I can still improve and become a better player.
Now it's back to work, as my winter snowbird season comes to an end this week. Spring break season begins, but is nowhere near the hectic time that winter is. I'm thinking my next tournament is going to be Bocage in Baton Rouge in April. It's a Cat II tournament that both Phil and I can play. I'd like to play the Indoor nationals in Chicago in May. I've never played that event, but think I'd like to try it this year. My goal this year is to play as many matches as I can. I need the match play to keep "tournament tough". Drilling and working out is one thing, but playing actual matches, under a little pressure with adrenaline flowing is another.

I'm glad you're home safe and sound. The tournament was a good challenge for you and gave you inspiration to work harder and play better. I think you play just perfect at this moment. Enjoy some good weather now and be proud of yourself just as all your friends are. Love ya, Tillid
