Phil and I arrived safely in Naples yesterday evening around 6:30. The drive was long, but uneventful. I've made this trip driving alone, and it seems like the road never ended. We dropped our bags and headed to dinner and the grocery store. Fortunately we are staying on site at Naples Bath and Tennis. My Mom's very dear friend has a condo here and is very gracious to let us stay there. It's a stone's throw from the courts...very convenient and very comfortable.

After a good nights rest, we headed out for breakfast then to the courts. The older divisions are playing now through tomorrow. I (along with Mary) have a captain's meeting this afternoon to determine our seeding and draw. I expect we'll be seeded in the top four. Phil and I were able to hit for about an hour mid morning at a club that his nephew has business ties to. It is very hot here....an advantage to me. My teammates should be rolling in soon. Looking forward to a fun week of tennis! I only have Internet access in the club house, so I may be a little delayed in reporting results.
