We had our second tropical storm of the season blow through this week. Ida was nothing more than a soggy nuisance. Preparations were made for landfall of a CAT I storm, but luckily it hit the cooler waters and was quickly downgraded. From past experience it's always better to prepare for the worst.
I've been working hard with Phil and Geoff to get ready for Naples. It's my last event of the season and I'd like to finish on a good note. I'm having some minor shoulder issues and have been getting physical therapy the past week to get it to calm down. I'm hoping to be able to play both singles and doubles for the team. I told Mary, my co-captain, that I'd do the best I can. I haven't played a tournament since July, but I feel good about how I'm hitting and moving on the court....hope all that will translate well into the real deal.
We'll be leaving on Tuesday to head to Naples, and I'll be blogging from there.
