Heading Home

Many of the players from this week are going on to New York to play the even age groups of the National Grass Courts at Forest Hills. We met Mary Dailey and her partner in the 40's next week, Julie Cass, from Texas, at Germantown to play some doubles. There was a pretty good rain storm last night, so the grass courts didn't open up until around noon. Germantown has a very active playing membership, but luckily we were able to get on one of the grass courts around 12:15. It's so much fun playing doubles with Phil. We played three fun sets of doubles. Mary and Julie are seeded second next week and should do very well.

I'm not ready to leave Phil, but I'm ready to get home. Once again, none of this would be possible without the amazing staff and support from Hidden Dunes. Renee and Jerry have been holding down the fort and doing a great job. My next tournament is in mid September...the National Hard Courts in Salinas, California. Phil's grass court nationals are the same week in New York on Long Island. Until then...

Congratulations on winning the Consolation Thurs. P.M. Super congratulations on winning the women's sportsman award. Of course all HD owners and snowbirds knew this 15 plus years ago. Have a safe trip home. Loved being with you and Phil on Thurs.

Love, Ginny and Bob

Congratulations, Myke! What an honour to receive the women's sportsman award--you deserve it as all Hidden Dunes folks know so well.
