Bus Trip to Caspedera

We left by bus this morning to head to the north side of the island today. It took about 90 minutes, but we were able to see the changing landscape. Mary sat behind Phil and I on the bus and we laughed and talked the whole way. It was obvious once we got here that this part of the island is much nicer. I would liken it to the difference between Panama City and Destin. Last week we were in Panama City, and now we're in Destin. Nicer hotel, better food, etc...We're all just glad for the change of scenery. The food is a million times better to.

We got into our room then headed to the practice courts. I hit with Mary, Fran and Mariana. It was great to break a sweat. The view from one of the sites we play is breathtaking. I play tomorrow at 4:30 here at the site we're staying. The girl is a German player that I know, but have never played. Phil plays at 10:30 against an Australian. We'll have to take a short shuttle to his courts. I'm glad we'll be able to watch each other play. Susie Brown, another US player has a practice court at 8 that she's invited us to hit on with her.

Jim and Trish are here! We had dinner with them tonight. It's just so amazing that they came all this way to see us play. It's going to be a fun week! Good wi fi service here at the hotel. Off to bed now and ready to play tomorrow.

Thank you for your up-dates - we really look forward to them. I love it that Trish and Jim are there - what a great experience for everyone that is involved with this trip. The scenery and our hotel and food was so wonderful when we were there that I felt bad when you said you had a hard time finding good food. We were close to Palma, tho. Have more fun - KCs

according to a Google spot I looked at, there is a tremendous castle where you are now - the largest one on the island - of course, you're supposed to be playing tennis - I'm so jealous of Jim and Trish. Y'all all have a ball for all of us recession bound folks! - Scott

I just picked up this chapter in your life this morning(Monday). It sounds as if you are in a beautiful spot, and I know you will play beautiful tennis. Good luck! Tillie
