Made It

Marilyn and I made it to Houston around 5:00 this afternoon. The drive was uneventful and went by so fast. Having someone to share the driving and to chat with the whole way was great. Poor Phil and John have no idea what secrets have been divulged! After getting to the hotel, we decided to head to the club and try to hit a little just to get the cob webs out. Luckily there were lights and plenty of courts. We had a great hit, grabbed a quick dinner and settled in for the night. I play at 12:30 tomorrow against a Houston girl that I don't know. My goal is to play focused and practice good habits from the beginning. I talked with Scott throughout the day and got updates on the Chaffee. The tournament was success and finished with some great matches. I have so much help putting on that event, from Scott doing the draws and working tirelessly on the scheduling to my "drag queen" crew that kept the courts swept and ready to play in a moments notice. It's truly a group effort and I appreciate so much the long hours that everyone puts in to make it happen.
