This blog will allow me to journal my experiences both on and off the court in upcoming tournaments and travels.

Hanging Around
Today I had the luxury of watching some of the last matches, mostly back draw and playoffs, while sitting on ice to nurse my sore hamstring. I know now for sure that I made the right decision not to play and irritate it anymore than it is. With a few days of rest and babying it, I should be just fine. It was tough though to just sit and watch. I really wanted to be out playing more. This afternoon Carolyn, Mary and I went into Monterey to the Fisherman's Wharf area and Cannery Row. It was a fun afternoon seeing more of this beautiful part of the country. My Mom was right, I really do need to get out more and take advantage of my travels and explore beyond just the tennis courts. I'm trying. I leave early tomorrow morning and am ready to get back home to my "girls" and my everyday routine. I know that Scott has taken great care of Augie and Chatum for me and for that I am forever grateful. Renee has held the fort down at work. I am truly blessed to have friends who care so much about me and make it possible for me to take these trips. Phil has recuperated from his Grass Court victories and is leaving on Friday for Atlanta to play his Clay Court Nationals. The countdown for Turkey has officially started....I meet Phil in Atlanta in 17 days.
