Change of Plans

Not too much has happened since I last posted. I do have a slight change of plans though. I originally planned to go to Philadelphia to play the National Grass Courts in mid July. I've now decided it'd be best not to. Let's just say that all the "stars" weren't aligned right so that I would feel comfortable going. Between work, having someone to watch Augie and Chatum, things just weren't panning out...and probably the biggest deciding factor was the expense. I really need the match play, but I can continue my workouts with Geoff for my off court training and Phil will be here in a couple of weeks to spend some time training as well. I'm also working on a weekend in August where my Margaret Court Cup teammates can come to Hidden Dunes for a long weekend so we can work out together. I still hope to play the National Hard Courts in September in California, before heading to Turkey in early October. My Mom loved traveling to tournaments with me, and by far going to Philadelphia was her favorite. She loved the tradition of playing on the grass courts with the all white attire. Last years tournament was our last tennis trip together. Playing in the National Grass Courts in Philadelphia will always hold special place in my heart.
