Day One

I won my first match in Pensacola today. I played a girl from Tennessee who had played junior tennis, but hadn't played competitively in many years. My scores were love and love, and I played well. The first matches in tournaments are always a little shaky for me.... playing on different courts, in a different environment....it takes hitting a few balls to get a good feel. I've got a very tough match tomorrow against a girl from south Florida. Every match I play will be a stepping stone to making me a better player and getting me ready for my biggest goal, which is playing in Turkey this fall. Renee and I have our first doubles match tomorrow afternoon after my singles match.
