Susan and I met at the courts to warm up this morning at 8:30. It was a beautiful day, 65 degrees, no wind and not a cloud in the sky. After we hit, I was able to watch a little of the match that I play the winner of. By the time we checked in and were ready to play, our opponents had not checked in at all. Turns out we won by default, as they had emailed the tournament director this morning to say they weren't going to make it. I was disappointed only because I was hoping to get a match played before singles tomorrow. Susan and I watched some other good doubles matches that were being played, then she and I hit again just to get some court time in. Just as I had decided to leave and maybe take a drive to Monterey and Carmel, Suella Steel who is in the 65's was looking for a hit. I figured I needed a hit more than to sight see (sorry Mom), so I hit another half hour with Suella. I'll grab some dinner soon, then to bed to get ready for tomorrow. Even though I don't play until 1:30, we'll hit early as practice courts are a little tough to get.
