Two Wins

Phil played both his singles and doubles today. It is cooler in New Orleans than it has been here....mid 70’s, so playing twice a day isn’t too bad. It looks like some rain is heading that way this week thanks to the big hurricane moving into Mexico.  Always a tournament directors nightmare.

Saying it was a perfect first round match up for him, Phil won 6-1, 6-3.  He was able to get the butterflies and first round jitters out. He said he hit well and also threw in some serve and volleys.  I know he has confidence when he starts serving and volleying on clay.

He and Tom won their afternoon doubles 6-0, 6-4.  I wish I could be there to watch. I have a good feeling about this week.
