We've had such beautiful weather this whole winter...highs this past week in the low to mid 80's, with bright blue, cloudless days. Sarasota is only 90 minutes north of us, so our weather is about the same. Today the sun was shining bright, but the winds picked up and became very gusty. I knew Phil would be playing in the same tough conditions.
He won both his singles and doubles matches, but said he didn't play all that great. I'm thinking he may still be a little flat from this past weekend's matches. Tomorrow in the quarter finals Phil will play his doubles partner, Geoff Cykman. Geoff is a very big hitter, and the forecast is for much cooler and windy conditions. That might work to Phil's advantage. We'll see.
