Whirlwind

All the sudden it's Wednesday, and I'm trying to figure out what has happened to the last four or five days. Let's see... I spent Sunday and Monday in Little Rock and had a fantastic time. I was able to accomplish all I wanted in a quick trip...

  • I spent great quality time with Melissa, catching up on life and doing things we enjoy doing together...walking, talking, pedicures, shopping, eating...just hanging out.

  • I visited the church columbarium, where my Mom and Dad's ashes are buried

  • I drove by our old house that I grew up in...looks great

  • I spent time with good friends Steve and Sharon, who so graciously hosted me in their most beautiful home, (I call it my private resort)

  • I ate a Shipley's donut (chocolate filled) two actually...a childhood favorite treat
It was a great trip and I'm so glad I went. Today is back to work, then tomorrow afternoon I will leave with Marilyn for Birmingham and see what's up with this heart thing of mine.

Now about Phil...

He played and won his first matches in singles and doubles, easily yesterday. Although if you look at the results on the draws online, they have the wrong winner posted. Believe me, I've had plenty of phone calls wondering what happened. He's played his second match already today and won that as well, and should be playing doubles right about now. Phil said that it's just absolutely gorgeous weather in Palm Springs, but the winds are blowing today around 40 mph. Tough conditions to play in for everybody. His calf, so far, has held up ok.

I'll post again soon with Phil's match results and my doctor's visit results.
