Playing Well

While I always worry and wonder how Phil is doing when playing a tournament match away, the morning was so busy at work I didn't have time to watch the clock and wonder how his match was going. My phone did ring about an hour after the match started and I thought it was Phil, but not so. Then I started worrying that I hadn't heard from him yet. Thankfully he called about 20 minutes later to say he had won 6-3, 6-0. By the score, I knew he stayed with the plan to play smart, focused tennis. Alex can be tough to play, but Phil served well, and was precise with his passing shots. The matches certainly don't get any easier from here. He now plays Gewan Maharaj, a solid player who will give Phil all he wants. I have full confidence and faith in Phil. I hope work tomorrow will be just as busy as today, so I won't worry.
